A city, street or postal code is missing from my file

Tell us, we check every report. This is how it works.

What to send us

• Your order number and the country concerned
• Concrete examples: the names of the cities, streets or postal codes you expected to find
• If you have one, the public source you are comparing against, and roughly how many rows it holds

Examples matter. A report such as there are entries missing cannot be verified; a report such as the city of X and postal code Y are not in the file can be, straight away.

What happens next

1. We pass it to the technical team and come back to you, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
2. If the data really is missing, we produce an updated file. When the gap is significant compared with publicly available data, the update is included in the price you already paid.
3. If the data is genuinely absent from the country's official sources, we explain why and, where possible, offer an alternative or an exchange for another file.

Before reporting, check these

• Did you open the right file? A city will not appear in the Regions file, and a street will not appear in the Locations file.
• Is the file split into several parts of one million rows? Only the first part carries the header, and the rest of the data is in the other parts.
• Is the spelling the local one? The data is in the country's own language, so Munich is stored as Muenchen and Chisinau with its local spelling.
