How recent the data is, and how updates work

What you get by default

The file you download is the latest published version of that country. Our database is maintained continuously, country by country, and the country page shows the date of the last refresh.

One free refresh within 30 days of your purchase

Every purchase comes with one complimentary refresh, which you can claim for 30 days after the order. We relaunch the extraction for your country and send you the new file, normally within seven days.

Two ways it happens.

• You ask. Tell us your order number and what looks short or out of date, ideally with a few examples. No justification is needed beyond that.
• We tell you. When our own check shows that a country holds less than what the official sources publish, we offer the refresh without waiting for you to ask.

A concrete case: a country file announces 200 cities, you receive exactly 200 cities, so the product is delivered as described, but the country in fact has closer to 2 000. That is a refresh, not a refund: we rebuild the file and send you the fuller version.

For a country that needs deeper work, we give you a date when you ask, and we keep you informed if it moves.

Later updates

A purchase is a one time purchase, not a subscription, so later versions are not sent automatically. Two options.

• Ask for an update. Contact us with your original order: we quote the refresh, at a reduced price for an existing customer.
• Use the API if you need data that is always current rather than a file. See the article about the API.

Recurring deliveries

If your project needs a new file every quarter or every year, tell us: we set up a schedule and a price for it.
